Precious-Metals Refinery — SEO in an Ultra-Narrow Niche

Doubling organic traffic for one of Russia's oldest refineries — a brand-new site, near-zero visibility, and a niche with tiny search volumes.

35 → 190 Queries in TOP-10

The challenge

One of the country’s largest refining enterprises (gold, silver, platinum in bars, granules and powders for B2B and private clients) launched a new site with no promotion history, analytics installed only months earlier, heavy internal approval bureaucracy — and a niche where semantics are narrow, frequencies low, and competitors are other refineries.

The approach

Systematic work in four tracks: technical SEO first (indexation, speed, adaptivity), then a detailed semantic core feeding expert content written to be genuinely useful about metal processing and product forms; a catalogue restructure by metal → product form enabling targeted pages per query group; link building through industry catalogues and crowd marketing; and regional emphasis on Novosibirsk’s gold-mining economy.

The results

Organic traffic doubled with steady, non-spiky growth; the site entered TOP-10 and TOP-3 for refinery-related queries with visibility rising from 47% to over 81%; behavioral metrics improved with longer sessions and lower bounce.
